Proficiency in computer is an absolute requirement in today’s growing technological world. A great percentage of girls in Uganda are 100% computer illiterate. Computer skills are very essential in business management and with technological advancement, it is paramount for one to have the skills to operate computing devices.
A number of youths in rural areas in Uganda have never used a computer because most of the computer training facilities are highly commercialized. The training fees are too high for them to afford.
With the computer trainings we offer, the youth acquire skills which help them in employment search and acquisition. This program is bridging the digital divide between the rural and urban youth helping the youth in rural areas increase their chances of employment in jobs they were previously not qualified for.
Individuals who complete this training become more viable and competitive in the market place. They are now able to raise above the poverty lines as they can use the computer to navigate the digital terrain not only as employed people but also as entrepreneurs creating jobs for others.
